No. When correctly applied to a properly prepared bodywork surface, Hexis PPF film is transparent and virtually undetectable to the naked eye. It follows the curves of the bodywork without creating a visible seam in most cases.
Up to 10 years depending on use and maintenance. Regular hand washing with non-abrasive cleaning products, and avoiding direct high-pressure jets on the edges of the film, are sufficient to maximise its lifespan.
Yes, that’s one of its major advantages over other solutions. When removed correctly (using heat, gradually), it leaves no marks on the original paintwork.
If the paintwork has imperfections (micro-scratches, swirl marks), it is recommended that you carry out paint correction before installation. The film will lock the surface in its current condition at the time of application: you cannot correct any imperfections afterwards without removing the film.
