The history of a specialist sound brand
Thor Tuning is a brand specialising in active sound systems for vehicles. Where other solutions on the market are confined to internal combustion engines, Thor has made the opposite choice: to develop a universal system capable of operating on petrol, diesel, hybrid and 100% electric vehicles, from 2005. The heart of the technology is a sound generator, a high-performance loudspeaker housed in a titanium-steel alloy structure and coupled to an intelligent box connected to the vehicle's CAN bus to synchronise the sound with engine speed in real time.
Shiftech sells Thor Tuning products and installs them in its centres in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Morocco.
Thor Tuning: Customise the sound of your car
There's no reason for your Audi TDI, your BMW hybrid or your Tesla to sound bland. Thor Tuning takes this simple fact and offers a solution that imposes nothing: you choose the sound you want, when you want it, from your smartphone. More than 40 tones from benchmark engines - American V8, Ferrari V12, Porsche flat-six, AMG twin-turbo - can be accessed directly from the app, and new acoustic signatures are added every month via cloud updates. You don't need to visit a workshop to change your sound profile.
The system does not modify the engine, the original exhaust or the vehicle's actual performance. It is installed outside the exhaust system, under the vehicle or in the underbody of the boot, depending on the configuration available. The manufacturer's warranty remains intact.

Thor Storm
The Thor STORM generator is the basic component of the Thor system. It handles the mid-range frequencies and faithfully reproduces the sounds of acceleration, deceleration and idling. Compact and housed in a tough plastic case, it offers 10 sports car sound profiles from the outset, with the option of upgrading to the PRO version at a later date to access the entire library. Thor Pro
The PRO version unlocks access to over 40 sounds, including the acoustic signatures of the Chevrolet Corvette C7, Mercedes G63 AMG, Audi R8, BMW M4, Ferrari 458 GTB, Porsche Panamera and Mercedes S63 AMG. Monthly cloud updates regularly add to this library, with no need to return to the workshop. The Pop & Bang is included, and can be controlled from the application.
Thor Echo
The ECHO is an additional loudspeaker that complements the main generator by handling high frequencies. It is installed under the vehicle and connects directly to the existing Thor system. Its role: to reproduce deceleration clicks and Pop & Bang with increased intensity - around +5 dB compared with the generator alone. For owners looking for maximum sound presence in a single-generator configuration, this is the natural extension.
Thor Thunder
The THUNDER is the dual-generator variant of the Thor PRO system. Two loudspeakers, mounted under the vehicle or in the boot, produce sound levels of up to 95 dB. The stereo bass reproduction enriches the overall acoustic rendition and is closer to the texture of a fully-loaded sports exhaust. Recommended for SUVs, estate cars and large saloon cars, where a single generator may not be sufficient.
Thor EV
Thor EV is the version of the system designed specifically for 100% electric vehicles. It meets two distinct needs: enriching the driver's sound experience with freely chosen tones, and meeting AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) regulatory requirements, which require electric vehicles to emit audible sound below 20 km/h. The Thor EV kit covers both uses from the same application, with Classic, Sci-Fi, Boombox and Special sound profiles available on activation.

Compatible with all vehicles from 2005
Petrol, diesel, hybrid and 100% electric. The Thor system is not linked to a specific make or model: as long as the vehicle is equipped with a CAN bus and has the necessary space under the body or in the boot to accommodate the generator, installation is possible.
