Return of the Ferrari 500 against Cancer 2024 with Shiftech
Every year, the"500 Ferraris against cancer" event at the Circuit du Val de Vienne, organised by the association Sport et Collection, brings together car enthusiasts from all over France and Europe for a noble cause: supporting cancer research.
Since its creation in 1995, this charity car event has raised over €6 million for the Cancer Research Unit at Poitiers University Hospital. This major European gathering is a demonstration of passion for cars and commitment to an important cause.
The 30th Event: An Undisputed Success
The 30th anniversary of "500 Ferraris against cancer" was held from 30 May to 2 June 2024 at the Circuit du Vigeant. More than 1,300 vehicles were present, despite the capricious weather. The event attracted thousands of spectators, all of whom came to celebrate motoring and support the fight against cancer.
Despite the inclement weather, the public turned out in force. Their passion for cars won them over against the weather, and visitors flocked to admire the vehicles and take part in the festivities.
The four days of the event were punctuated by car demonstrations, parades, concerts and air shows. Each day brought its share of surprises and excitement, with highlights such as the historic F1 demonstrations, the modern GT parades and theair shows put on by the Patrouille de France.
Shiftech's participation: A strong presence
Shiftech made its presence felt at this 30th edition. Our stand was a meeting point for enthusiasts and loyal customers, testifying to our shared passion for high-performance cars. Visitors to our stand were able to discover our services, and learn more about our brand and our centres.
Our centres in Tours, Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux and Limoges
The Shiftech centres in Tours, Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux and Limoges proudly represented our brand at this event. Each centre brought its own expertise and passion to the show, helping to make it a real success. We showcased ourengine optimisation services, bodywork protection with our brand new PPF service and detailing, demonstrating our know-how to a public eager for innovation.
Médéric and the Mercedes AMG GT4
One of the highlights of the event was Médéric 's participation in the Mercedes AMG GT4. This exceptional car, part of the FFSA GT4 2023 championship and driven by Romain Monti and Jordan Grimaud, captured the attention of the spectators. Médéric demonstrated the capabilities of the AMG GT4 on the circuit, adding a competitive touch to our participation.
Profits returned to the Association and 31st Edition
The profits generated by the sale of goodies on our stand were donated in full to the Sport et Collection association, contributing to cancer research. This contribution is part of our commitment to this worthy cause and reinforces our desire to support charitable initiatives.
We look forward to taking part in the 31st edition of this not-to-be-missed event (although it is not officially confirmed at the time of writing) for all motoring enthusiasts.
