Scart
Handcrafted exhausts – Made in France
An obsession that began in 1999
The story of a French brand born out of a passion for sound
It all began in 1999 in Goussainville, in the Val-d’Oise, when Martin Scart – having previously spent his career buying car spare parts – came to a realisation that would change the course of his life: the exhaust systems available for Porsches were mass-produced, soulless creations, made by people who listened to music through headphones rather than the roar of the engine. His obsession with the perfect sound – instilled in him as a teenager by the rumble of Riva boats on Italian lakes – resurfaced.
In 2003, Scart officially launched his first models, the “Tube Cup” and the “Col de Cygne”, announced in Flat 6 magazine. In 2005, the decision was taken to scale back everything except the essentials: Scart devoted itself 100 per cent to stainless steel exhaust systems. In 2008, the workshop developed its first valve system, opening up a whole new dimension: two cars in one. In 2012, the move to Goussainville marked the company’s industrial establishment; Scart purchased its machinery, brought its welders in-house and took control of the entire manufacturing process. Today, the catalogue features over 400 products covering some thirty brands worldwide.
Shiftech is an official retailer of Scart products and carries out their installation across all its centres in France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

304L stainless steel • TIG welds • 10-year guarantee
Scart: When French craftsmanship becomes a philosophy
What sets Scart apart from virtually all other exhaust manufacturers is a guiding principle that has remained unchanged since 2003: every component is bent, TIG-welded and tuned by hand in the Goussainville workshop. No offshoring, no subcontracting, no rock wool in the silencers. Every Scart exhaust ages well; the 304L stainless steel does not rust, and the argon-shielded welds withstand extreme temperatures. The warranty covers parts and labour for 10 years.
Scart has also solved a problem that many tuners overlook: droning. This unwanted resonance, particularly prevalent in naturally aspirated engines, transforms a beautiful exhaust note into an exhausting hum on the motorway. The team has spent years working to eliminate this from every configuration, by adjusting the internal geometry of the silencers to match the natural frequencies of each engine.
