Shiftech Drift Series: round 2 on 7 and 8 February 2026 at the Vaison circuit
A weekend of intense detection in Vaison
On 7 and 8 February 2026, the Shiftech Drift Series made a stopover at the Vaison circuit for a second round under the banner of the love of sliding and performance.
Saturday morning set the tone for the day, with 301 entries recorded. Sunday was no match for the previous day, with more than 260 additional entries. In all, more than 560 runs were made over the weekend, demonstrating the exceptional level of commitment shown by the participants.
The Vaison Piste circuit was transformed into a veritable detection laboratory, where precision, regularity and technical mastery were scrutinised at every run by our 3 judges Mathias Locatelli, Jason Banet and Billy La Soupape (official CFD judge).

Mechanics put to the test
Such a high volume of driving inevitably places extreme demands on the machines. Two carbon driveshafts broke on the Nissan 370Zs over the weekend, concrete proof of the intensity of the runs and the drivers' level of attack.
The Torque team managed the situation with professionalism and responsiveness. Problems were quickly identified and resolved, allowing the programme to resume without major disruption. This ability to adapt is an integral part of the DNA of the Shiftech Drift Series: performance, but also technical mastery.

Drivers selected for the semi-final
at the end of Round 2, a number of drivers stood out from the crowd and secured their ticket for the semi-final on 14 March 2026, again in Vaison.
Among those selected:
-
Yucesan Mehmet
-
Paletou Gaëtan
-
Utiel Romain
-
Philippon Ludovic
-
Talietti Enzo

The selection was made by Mathias Locatelli, Jason Banet and Billy, based on precise criteria: trajectory, angle, commitment, consistency and ability to perform under pressure.
jonathan Vaison, a well-known professional driver, was also selected. His track record includes several participations in international competitions and experience at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The level clearly rises a notch as the semi-finals approach.
