Immersion at the 24 Hours of Le Mans: Behind the scenes of motor racing

We begin our adventure with a visit to the boxes, in particular the Lamborghini box. Many thanks to Claudio and Lamborghini Paris for inviting us here for the Le Mans 24 Hours. A particularity of this car is that it arrives and leaves the pit lane entirely in electric mode, which makes it silent in the pits despite all the surrounding noise.

The engineers are in full preparation, working on race and pit-stop strategy. The atmosphere is tense but exciting.

Tonight, it's the Hyperpole, where the cars battle for pole position. The BMW has set the fastest time, but everything can still change. But before we go any further, it's worth reminding you of something:

What is the hyperpole at the 24 Hours of Le Mans?

"The Hyperpole is a special qualifying session introduced at the Le Mans 24 Hours from 2020, aimed at determining the starting positions of the fastest cars in each class. After an initial qualifying session in which all the cars compete, the eight best in each category (Hypercar, LMP2, LMGT3) are selected to take part in the Hyperpole.

This session takes place over a period of 30 minutes, generally on Thursday evening, and allows the drivers to set their best lap without being hindered by traffic, thanks to a less congested track. Hyperpole rules stipulate that it is forbidden to bring cars into the pits or to refuel during the session, and for the LMGTE Am category, only a Bronze driver can take part.

The aim is to allow the drivers to concentrate solely on pure performance, providing an intense spectacle and determining the front rows of the grid for the race."

We have a prime spot to watch the Hyperpole from Lamborghini hospitality, with an uninterrupted view of the track.

We had an extraordinary time at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2024 parade. The crowd went wild, and the atmosphere was electric thanks to our DJ and our pickup truck. We were right in the middle of the action, surrounded by vintage cars and supercars, ready to parade. The drivers, seated in vintage vehicles, added a touch of nostalgia and charm to the event. We handed out hundreds of goodies, and the enthusiasm of the public was palpable. It was an hour of pure madness, and we can't wait to come back next year with even more surprises and gifts for the fans.

The long-awaited day has finally arrived. We start the day with a tour of the paddocks and pits. We met drivers and teams, and the atmosphere was electric.

Our visit began with an exploration of the pits, where we were able to get a close-up view of the cars and teams in full preparation. We made a stop at Alpine, where we met Esteban Ocon, who had come to support the team.

The gridwalk at the Le Mans 24 Hours 2024 was a real experience, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the heart of the action just before the start of the race. We had the opportunity to walk the grid, where the excitement was at its peak. The cars were lined up ready to start, and the teams were busy making final adjustments to the vehicles. We were able to get up close to the hypercars, LMP2s and GT3s, and even exchange a few words with the drivers and engineers. The presence of celebrities and personalities from the world of motoring added to the excitement.

The gridwalk also gave us a close-up look at the Panis Racing car, the Porsche and many others, as well as the chance to meet friends such as Etienne Moustache and Romain Monti. It was a unique moment of sharing and passion, where you could feel all the tension and anticipation before the start of this legendary race.

The race is due to kick off at 4pm, and we're in a privileged position to witness the first laps at the end of the Hunaudières straight, where we'll be able to watch the first braking action. It promises to be a breathtaking spectacle.

After 24 hours of intense racing, it was the moment of truth. As you know, the Ferrari took the lead and managed to maintain its lead right to the end, taking a well-deserved victory. Toyota and Cadillac completed the podium.

This year's 24 Hours of Le Mans has been exceptional, with twists and turns right up to the last lap. Once again, we'd like to thank Lamborghini Paris for this invitation and this unforgettable experience.
