Porsche, Aston Martin and BMW Drift, between sound and performance
Today, we're taking you into our workshop to look after three very special cars. Between a Porsche 911 Targa that needs a little more voice thanks to an EVOX catback exhaust, an Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition that just wants to roar even louder, and a BMW that we're getting ready for drifting by unpacking it.to roar even louder, and a BMW 335i being prepared for drifting by unpacking a brand new fibre kit, there's plenty to enjoy!
If you're a fan of beautiful, singing cars, you'll love what follows. Sit back and relax as we take you through all the steps involved in these transformations, with the aim of boosting performance and thrills tenfold.
Let's get started!
Porsche 911 Targa: A new sound with a sports exhaust system
Let's start with a pearl of automotive engineering: a Porsche 911 Targa 991.1, with just 36,940 km on the clock. The owner is an enthusiast, but like many Targa 4 drivers, he finds the sound of the flat-six engine a little too muted for his taste. So it was off to the workshop to remedy the situation!
We opted to fit a Catback EVOX sports exhaust with valves. Why did we do this? Quite simply because this system allows you to modulate the sound. With the valve open, you get a roar worthy of the finest races. With the valve closed, the car remains silent. It's ideal for enjoying the drive without sacrificing noise comfort in town.
And don't forget the little peculiarities of older Porsches: the screws can be oxidised, which sometimes complicates dismantling. But no worries here, everything went like clockwork, and the Targa is ready to roar down the road!
Aston Martin Vantage F1: Sporty Sound with Quicksilver Catalysts
Then we had the pleasure of working on another dream car: an Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition. Already a rarity in the automotive world, it had been fitted with a Quicksilver exhaust, but the owner wanted more sonic character. That's where we come in!
To accentuate this already powerful sound, Quicksilver sport catalytic converters were fitted. This little addition changes everything: the V8 in this Aston becomes a veritable mechanical symphony, making every acceleration even more enjoyable. Imagine yourself at the wheel, with that sound in the background... It makes you want to never leave the road!
BMW 335i: Unpacking the Fibre Kit for a Drift Transformation
Finally, a slightly different but equally exciting project: drifting! We've received a complete fibre kit from Mikinka Projekt for our BMW 335i, and today it's time to unpack it. Fenders, bonnet, bumper and even doors are all made from fibreglass, making the car considerably lighter and more agile on the track.
This is just the beginning of its transformation into a drift machine, but just unpacking this kit gives us a taste of what's to come. We can't wait to see what it's going to be like when it's all put together. Stay tuned, the rest promises to be really cool!
BMC Sport Air Filter for a Porsche 911: More Power, Less Maintenance
We now return to our Porsche 911 Targa 991.1 for one more small but important upgrade. As well as the sports exhaust, we've fitted a BMC sports air filter.
Why this choice? Because it optimises the flow of air to the engine, and better air flow means more power. We're not talking about major transformations here, but every little detail counts when it comes to performance.
This filter is also an excellent choice for those who want simpler maintenance: it can be reused after cleaning, making it a more durable option in the long term. With this upgrade, we hope to gain around 20 extra horsepower. All of which should further enhance the driving experience for the owner!
