The world of engine remapping is constantly evolving, and the Shiftech teams are committed to incorporating new compatibility options as soon as they become available and reliable.
This article is updated at the end of every month. It listsall the ECUs, new engine types and vehicles available for remapping, whether these are brand-new additions or vehicles that have been unlocked following a manufacturer lockout period.
A number of new additions have just arrived this month, with the inclusion of several updates enabling the reprogramming of vehicles that had previously been blocked by car manufacturers.
April 2026: Many vehicles can now be reprogrammed
April 2026 brings several major advances in the field of engine remapping, with the addition of new Bosch ECUs for diesel, petrol, hybrid and commercial vehicle engines.
Thanks to the latest developments in AutoTuner solutions, it is now possible to work on a growing number of recent vehicles, including those fitted with ECUs that were previously protected.
These updates mainly concern:
- EU6d diesel engines from the Renault-Nissan Alliance and Mercedes
- Jaguar Land Rover hybrid engines
- Commercial and agricultural vehicles from the FPT / Iveco group
- Recent petrol and hybrid models from the Stellantis Group

How does the unlock function work?
Most of these new compatibility features rely on a preliminary step known as ‘unlocking’.
In practical terms:
- The control unit is removed from the vehicle
- It is sent for unlocking (a secure procedure)
- It is reinstalled in the vehicle
- Reprogramming is then carried out via a test bench or OBD
This procedure guarantees:
- compatibility with the manufacturer’s security measures
- the stability of the reprogramming
- the safety of the ECU
