Fit tinted windows
Why tint your car windows?
Tinted windows are no longer just a styling feature. They offer genuine protection for you, your passengers and your car’s interior.
Maximum sun protection. Our sun films blockup to 99 per cent of harmfulUV rays. Prolonged exposure to UV rays without protection accelerates the ageing of seats, the dashboard and interior plastics. It also poses risks to skin health on long journeys, particularly for children and regular passengers.
Reduced heat in the passenger compartment. By filteringout the sun’s infrared rays, the window film maintains a more comfortable temperature inside the vehicle, even in very hot weather. Less use of air conditioning means lower fuel consumption.
Burglary protection. Our films mechanically reinforce the glass and significantly delay shattering in the event of an attempted break-in. In the event of an accident, the film holds the shards in place and protects occupants from flying glass.
Privacy and visual comfort. Tinted windows reduce glare from the sun and headlights, improve overall visibility and shield the passenger compartment from prying eyes.

Our colours
Colours available at the Shiftech Luxembourg centre
We offer several levels of tinting suited to each use and each window position, expressed in VLT (Visible Light Transmission):
Rear side windows and rear windscreen. In Luxembourg, tinted film is permitted on the rear side windows and the rear windscreen, with no restrictions on tint level. You can choose according to your preferences: a light tint for a discreet look, a medium tint for a good balance between style and visibility, or a dark tint for maximum privacy and optimal heat protection. The vehicle must be fitted with two fully functional exterior wing mirrors.
Front windows. In accordance with Luxembourg law (Article 46.3 of the Highway Code), no tinted film may be applied to the windscreen or the front side windows. Our technicians will always inform you of this when you arrive at the centre and advise you on the solutions best suited to your situation.

Regulations on tinted windows in Luxembourg
This is one of the first questions our customers ask: which windows can be tinted in Luxembourg?
Luxembourg regulations are stricter than French regulations on this point. Article 46.3 of the Luxembourg Highway Code prohibits the application of any tinted film to the windscreen and front side windows. Only the rear windows and the rear windscreen may have a tinted film applied, with no restrictions on the TLV level, provided that the vehicle is fitted with two exterior wing mirrors. Failure to comply with these regulations exposes the driver to a fine of up to 74 euros and, in the event of a repeat offence, to the withdrawal of their driving licence.
At Shiftech Luxembourg, we only fit films that are approved and comply with the Luxembourg Highway Code. Before any work is carried out, we go through the regulations with the customer to ensure the fit is 100 per cent legal.
