Gintani exhaust system - An Aventador SVJ transformed into a Formula 1 road car
Today, we're here at Shiftech Paris, alongside Helder, to introduce you to an exceptional car: the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. An iconic model, powered by a naturally-aspirated V12 engine that represents one of Lamborghini's last great mechanical signatures.
Already spectacular in its original configuration, this SVJ takes things to a new level with the installation of a Gintani exhaust system. It's a rare car, and the resultant sound is clearly close to that of modern Formula 1. This project plunges us into the heart of a sports exhaust system, for absolutely unique acoustics.

Configuration of the Aventador SVJ: an iconic V12 that's already extreme
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ represents the culmination of a legendary engine: the naturally-aspirated 6.5-litre V12, an architecture that the brand has preserved for decades. In this 'Super Veloce Jota' version, power rises to 770 bhp, with an engine capable of revving to over 8,800 rpm while retaining a raw, instantaneous mechanical character.
Its ignition sequence, engraved directly on the block, bears witness to this traditional engineering approach: 1-12-4-9-2-11-6-7-3-10-5-8. It's a technical signature unique to Lamborghini and one that is rarely used.
The model filmed here features an exceptional aesthetic configuration: exclusive paintwork, exposed carbon throughout the bodywork, and above all a complete PPF protection made at Helder in Shiftech Paris to preserve every element, including the areas most exposed to heat and spray.
Already impressive from the outset, this SVJ becomes the perfect base for a high-performance exhaust system, capable of revealing the full sonic personality of this now collector's V12.
In fact, we made a video of ourPPF protection films being put to the teston our Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica, and to tell you the truth, we even set it on fire!

Gintani exhaust: the most extreme sound signature
Installing a Gintani line on an Aventador SVJ doesn't just mean modifying an exhaust: it means choosing one of the most radical sound signatures available on a modern naturally-aspirated V12. Gintani has built a worldwide reputation for lines that can completely transform the character of high-performance engines, with a DNA clearly inspired by Formula 1.
The design of the line installed here is based on a number of decisive technical choices:
- Full titanium construction, for significant weight savings and exceptional thermal resistance.
- Stretch pipe without silencer, eliminating all acoustic restrictions and allowing the engine to express itself without a filter.
- Valve system, essential for controlling everyday noise levels while unleashing the full potential of the V12 at high revs.
- Architecture designed for higher revs, with a more lively response and musicality much higher up the rev range.
Compared with other solutions on the market - Akrapovic, Capristo, Milltek or Armytrix - the Gintani range stands out for its very clear positioning: to deliver the most extreme sound possible, while maintaining an impeccable level of finish. Where other brands seek a compromise between power, comfort and musicality, Gintani fully embraces a more radical, more visceral approach.
The result: at low revs, the V12 gains in depth and presence, but it's above all from 5,000 rpm that the transformation becomes obvious. The line literally screams like a Formula 1 car, with a sharp, metallic rise in frequency that echoes the legendary videos of Aventador Gintani in tunnels around the world.

On the dyno: power, temperatures and spectacle
Once the Gintani line had been installed, the Aventador SVJ was put through its paces on the power bench to measure its behaviour and capture the sound under controlled conditions. To maximise visibility and allow observation of the line's thermal reactions, the vehicle was positioned without a rear bumper, directly revealing the titanium sections.
From the very first revs, the engine showed all its temperament. The V12 climbs with impressive liveliness to over 8,800 rpm, and the line reaches temperatures high enough for the titanium to redden, highlighting the thermal deformation and purple hues characteristic of this material under stress.
Here, the car was in a slightly more advanced configuration, with around 800bhp, which further amplified the noise and violent acceleration. inside the dyno room, the microphones were saturated on several occasions as the acoustic intensity exceeded the usual levels. We even had to move the recording systems further away and position some of the microphones in the neighbouring building in order to pick up any usable sound.
But the most spectacular moment was during deceleration, when the Gintani line produced real flames on exit, giving a visual dimension as impressive as the sound signature. The images clearly show these brief but intense jets, a direct consequence of the stretch pipe configuration and the high temperature of the gases.
Cost of the operation: a coherent investment
Installing the Gintani line on this Aventador SVJ represents a budget of €25,200. A hefty sum, but a reasonable one given the level of engineering, the time required and the materials used. Given the value of an SVJ - often estimated at between €700,000 and €750,000 - this upgrade remains a logical choice for owners looking for a truly unique sound transformation.
Conclusion: the ultimate V12 experience, from Shiftech Paris
